This is a well example of a late 18th century two-storey building. A Heritage building was restored, allowing you to see structural elements of the house’s foundation. It is like a museum of a traditional house. There's always a guide there to bring you around and explain about the building to you. There are informative wall signs and pictures, and just wandering throughout the house allows you to understand a little better and to catch a glimpse of Old Melaka.

This hotel is technically a historical building but hasn't been lovingly restored like the others. Past reception is a maze of staircases, yellowing hallways and, eventually, some pretty average rooms. They're not particularly comfortable or stylish, but do have air-con, ensuite bathroom with a hot shower and a TV with local channels.
